Surprise! A post during the week, thank goodness for Spring Break.
Over the weekend, I was walking through Trader Joe’s thinking “wow, I look like I have my life together! I am wearing a trendy vest, lululemon pants, and my produce to junk food ratio is like 5:1…that’s a huge deal.” What I was really thinking about is, how much I want a doughnut and that I can’t believe I just spent $40 at Bath & Body Works when I have a huge drawer of candles at home..BUT THEY HAD A SALE!
At this moment, between the freeze dried strawberries and the green tea mochi, my phone reminded me that one year ago today I was preparing for Matthew’s Easter basket…and it hit me, I have not done a damn thing for Easter this year. I was so preoccupied with the fact that I NEEDED Spring Break that I totally forgot that Easter was next weekend! I used this as an excuse to go to Target, because Target is everything.
I picked up a few things that Matthew has been needing/wanting to create the perfect “Easter Basket for him.”
When I was aimlessly walking down all the aisles of Target, as every girl does, I kept in mind that I wanted to keep the cost on the lower side. Matthew’s birthday is next month so I didn’t want to go too crazy on the basket.
Firstly, Red Bull is Matthew’s love language so I couldn’t leave that one out! He is also a baseball coach so I couldn’t go wrong with getting him another Gatorade water bottle. Since he is a baseball coach, his car can get very messy/dusty-so I picked up some Armor All wipes and a Glade air freshener. Some of his hobbies include drawing, working out, and golfing; so he definitely needed Sharpies, Men’s Fitness Magazine, Callaway Golf Tees, and Yurbuds Headphones (there is a cartwheel for these!) Lastly, the candy, his favorite gum is Big League Chew and his favorite candy is anything sour so I got him Sour Patch Jelly Beans.
What do you put in your Easter Basket? Do you include gifts in your Easter Basket, or just candy?
