Matthew and I have been married for one year on March 8th, to celebrate we took a quick weekend trip to San Francisco. Unfortunately, it rained 80% of the time we were there so we didn’t get to do all of the things we wanted to do, take all the pictures I had wanted to take for this here blog, and go on all the excursions we had planned. We made the best of it, I am not the type to dwell on the weather, I can’t control it. We just chose to drink and eat our sorrows away.
Here are some of my suggestions, Tony’s Pizza in Washington Square Park. We drank a “margarita-inspired ” drink called the Noisy Boy, it was a cucumber style margarita with a little kick! So good! It also had an almond salt rim. I know it sounds different and we would have never ordered it if we would’ve just read the ingredients, we saw someone drinking it and we HAD to try it.
We went to the Park Tavern, also in Washington Square Park; it has a rustic/hipster vibe. I could have definitely gone back there again, and again. We had an amazing waiter who gave us some free champagne for our anniversary, any place that gives me free alcohol is my kind of place. The avocado toast was amazing, my drink recommendation is the Anchor Steam Beer Mango Wheat.
Lastly, we went on a brewery tour at Anchor Brewery. I learned a lot about the making of beer, but the best part was trying all the different types of beer; Matthew was in heaven. We spent the day hanging out at the brewery, and then walking the streets of San Francisco on our only rain-free afternoon.
